Life Out Loud Films is a Production Company dedicated to creating inspiring films that present strong characters and explore subject matter with depth. Our company begins with understanding a film’s distribution and marketing potential and utilizing this knowledge to shape a viable product before jumping into production. Our commitment is to our investors, our art and our audience.

Our 6 Filmmaking Values:

1. Balance Business & Art:
We believe film is art but we also believe it will not be seen and enjoyed by large audiences if that art is also not balanced with business. We take pride in keeping this balance and strive to keep our team of loyal investors and industry professionals happy by not only creating great films but also films that can be sold and be seen. Satisfied investors and team members enable us to continue to make films for years to come.

Making the film is only a small part of the filmmaking process. Getting it sold and distributed is the key phase and in order to do this successfully, a producer must have a solid understanding of this end phase before embarking on the film. We maintain strong relationships with distribution & sales companies along with development execs and stay on top of the current distribution climate. We utilize this research to tweak elements of the film during development in order to set the film up for the greatest chance for success once complete.

2. Collaboration:
Our model is based on collaboration and creating a win-win opportunity in our partnerships. Through our unique approach of enrolling the communities in which we shoot, the locale takes ownership and pride in the film and becomes a member of our team.  Welcoming the community creates a larger team which then encompasses more resources, cheerleaders and volunteers. We believe that the spirit, passion and heart of the team behind a film can be seen on the screen and so this approach is not only economically beneficial but artistically as well. Artists, musicians, entrepreneurs, manufacturers, etc. follow their life dream, while also touching the larger dream of the film making it possible. 

3. Giving Back: 
For our team, the filmmaking process is much more fulfilling when we are able to make a difference. We work to promote economic development and tourism and showcase the real location and community whenever possible. 

Opportunity is at the core. In addition to industry professionals, we also include artists, musicians, caterers, etc. whom have never had the opportunity to build experience in film or be a part of the filmmaking experience. On each film, a portion of all proceeds is given to a cause (i.e. lake cleanup efforts, Wish you Well foundation) and the company raises money annually for the Scott Winter’s Scholarship Fund (in the memory of the late Lake Effects writer), which awards money to a student pursuing a film career.

4. High Quality, Low Costs:
Through collaboration and smart planning, we aim to keep costs low but quality high in efforts to best position the film for investors to see a return. We focus our spending on creating production value and putting the money on the screen, utilizing top cameras, post production houses, name talent, etc. We spend wisely and care for our investor’s money as we would our own.

5. Presenting Strong Female Characters: 
Strong, compelling and multifaceted female roles seem rare and often very difficult to find for actresses. As a female founded company, we seek material that presents strong and multi dimensional woman giving females a positive voice in film.

6. Inspiration:
We produce films that touch the honesty, depth and richness of the heart and the truth of human nature. Films that are a catalyst for positive change and inspire audiences to embrace our motto to DARE to live life out Loud: dream, act, risk and embrace life.
